Overview
Unico Connect is seeking a Senior Xano Developer to lead Xano Enterprise builds for compliance-heavy and high-scale client products. The role owns data architecture, Bring-Your-Own-Cloud (BYOC) deployment, enterprise integrations, and the AI Agent Builder and MCP Builder workflows that define Xano's AI-era position. The position is well suited to senior backend engineers with deep Xano expertise and the architecture instincts to scale no-code to enterprise loads.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Xano backends at production scale including multi-tenant and RBAC patterns
- Lead Xano Enterprise BYOC deployments on AWS, GCP, Azure, or on-prem
- Design with Xano's AI Agent Builder, MCP Builder, and XanoScript for AI-era backends
- Drive enterprise integrations including SSO (SAML, OAuth), enterprise auth, and payment gateways
- Mentor 1-2 junior Xano developers through code reviews and architecture discussions
- Lead Xano migrations from proof-of-concept to Enterprise tier including compliance documentation
- Govern Xano security posture including data residency, encryption, and audit logging
- Calibrate the Xano interview bar and conduct senior interview loops
- Author internal Xano playbooks and onboarding documentation
- Represent Xano capability in client architecture conversations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development with at least 2 years on Xano at production scale
- Deep Xano expertise including function stacks, custom functions, background tasks, and real-time
- Strong relational database design (PostgreSQL beyond Xano's defaults)
- Hands-on with Xano Enterprise including BYOC, SSO, WAF, and dedicated IP
- Familiar with at least 1 of WeWeb, FlutterFlow, native mobile, or React frontends
- Excellent communication; capacity to lead client architecture conversations
- Track record of mentoring junior Xano developers
- Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Capacity to read backend code (Node.js or Python) for hybrid setups
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Xano AI Agent Builder or MCP Builder hands-on experience
- Backend coding in Node.js or Python for hybrid services
- HIPAA or SOC 2 implementation experience
- Conference talks on no-code at enterprise scale
- Open-source Xano extension contributions
AI Tools Proficiency
Production engineering at Unico Connect assumes AI tools form part of the daily workflow rather than an experimental augmentation. For this role specifically:
- Xano AI Agent Builder, MCP Builder, and Claude Code integration
- Claude or GPT for architecture review and design documentation
- Cursor for custom code blocks and integrations
- Perplexity for technical research on enterprise patterns
