Luxury retail does not behave like commodity e-commerce. Customers spend longer on product pages, expect rich imagery and material detail, and compare across categories before they commit. Each product type carries its own attribute model — a rug has dimensions, fibre and weave; furniture has finish, materials and load specs; lighting has wattage and bulb compatibility. The platform had to make all of that searchable and filterable the way customers actually think, while managing inventory and order workflows for a catalogue this deep without overwhelming the merchandising team.
