Overview
Unico Connect is seeking a Business Development Executive — US & Canada to drive outbound lead generation across North American markets for IT services. The role spans cold outreach, discovery calls, qualification, and pipeline development working US business hours from Mumbai. The position is well suited to senior B2B sales professionals with neutral-accent US English and a track record of building $1M+ USD pipelines for software services companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage US and Canada prospects through cold outreach, LinkedIn, email, and community engagement
- Conduct discovery calls to qualify leads against ICP and fit criteria
- Schedule and hand off qualified leads to the founder or business team
- Research target accounts and industries; tailor outreach by vertical
- Maintain CRM records (HubSpot, Salesforce) with real-time activity logs
- Collaborate with marketing on US-focused campaigns and content
- Meet and exceed monthly KPIs for qualified leads and pipeline value
- Maintain a personal pipeline of $1M+ USD at any given time
- Represent Unico Connect in US virtual events and industry communities
- Author internal US outreach playbooks and qualification frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of B2B lead generation or business development at a software services company serving US clients
- Proven success building $1M+ USD pipelines
- Neutral or near-native US English (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with US buyers
- Comfortable working US business hours (typically 5pm-2am IST)
- Proficient with CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo, and Lusha
- Capacity to lead discovery calls with US mid-market and enterprise buyers
- Network in at least 1 of US FinTech, SaaS, or e-commerce buyer communities
- Self-driven and well-organised independent worker
Preferred Qualifications
- Network in US FinTech, SaaS, or e-commerce buyer communities
- Experience selling AI, ML, or cloud services to US enterprises
- Account Executive or inside-sales background
- Track record of generating leads at virtual industry events
- Familiarity with services-led sales motions for international buyers
AI Tools Proficiency
Production engineering at Unico Connect assumes AI tools form part of the daily workflow rather than an experimental augmentation. For this role specifically:
- Claude or ChatGPT for personalised US outreach drafting
- Clay, Apollo AI, or Lemlist AI for prospecting and enrichment
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator AI for prospect identification
- Perplexity for US market and account research
