Overview
Unico Connect is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate software delivery for client engagements across web, mobile, AI, and cloud products. The role partners daily with engineers, designers, and QA to keep sprints on track, stakeholders informed, and risks resolved before they impact delivery. The position is well suited to early-career project managers who have shipped real software, understand modern engineering rhythms, and are comfortable working directly with international clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Run daily standups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives for 2-3 concurrent client projects
- Maintain detailed project plans in Jira or Linear, covering scope, timelines, dependencies, and capacity
- Track risks, blockers, and escalations; coordinate resolution within the same business day where possible
- Author weekly client status reports with progress, demos, and the upcoming week's priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional handoffs between design, engineering, QA, DevOps, and account teams
- Maintain burn-down charts, velocity tracking, and resource allocation across delivery teams
- Drive on-time delivery without compromising code quality, test coverage, or production readiness
- Facilitate change management when scope shifts, including documentation and client sign-off
- Onboard new engineers and designers to in-flight projects with sufficient context to contribute on day one
- Maintain client-facing knowledge bases, demo environments, and access provisioning
- Contribute to Unico Connect's internal project management playbooks and templates
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or technical project coordinator at a software product company or agency
- Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Linear, Notion, or comparable project management tooling
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile delivery methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal English communication for direct client interaction
- Comfortable interfacing with international clients across the US, UK, EU, and Australia
- Strong organisational and documentation discipline
- Ability to prioritise across competing demands without losing visibility
- Familiarity with at least one modern engineering rhythm (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid)
- Capacity to read PRs, design docs, and technical specifications enough to scope conversations
Preferred Qualifications
- CSM, PMP, or PRINCE2 certification
- Experience managing AI, mobile, or no-code projects
- Prior software engineering or QA background
- Hands-on with Notion AI, Loom, or async collaboration tools
- Exposure to fixed-price + time-and-materials engagement models
AI Tools Proficiency
Production engineering at Unico Connect assumes AI tools form part of the daily workflow rather than an experimental augmentation. For this role specifically:
- Claude or ChatGPT for drafting status reports, meeting summaries, and client comms
- AI-assisted Notion and Linear workflows for documentation and task triage
- Fireflies or Otter for meeting transcription and synthesis
- Cursor for reading code when scoping technical risk
