Overview
Unico Connect is seeking a Business Development Executive — India to drive outbound lead generation across the Indian market for IT services including custom software, AI, mobile app development, and cloud engagements. The role spans cold outreach, discovery calls, qualification, and pipeline development for the founder-led sales motion. The position is well suited to senior B2B sales professionals with deep network access in Indian FinTech, SaaS, and BFSI buyer communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage Indian prospects through cold outreach, LinkedIn, email, and networking
- Conduct discovery calls; qualify leads against ICP and budget criteria
- Hand off qualified leads to the founder or business team with full context
- Research target accounts and industries to tailor outreach
- Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot, Salesforce) with real-time activity logs
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, messaging, and content
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly KPIs for qualified leads
- Represent Unico Connect at industry events, meetups, and conferences in India
- Maintain a personal pipeline of 3 Cr+ INR at any given time
- Author internal outreach playbooks and lead-qualification frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of B2B lead generation or business development at an Indian software services company
- Track record of building a pipeline of 4 Cr+ INR annually
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
- Strong understanding of IT services and the Indian business ecosystem
- Proficient with CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and ZoomInfo
- Capacity to lead discovery calls and qualify against ICP criteria
- Network in at least 1 of Indian FinTech, SaaS, BFSI, or e-commerce buyer communities
- Comfort presenting Unico Connect capabilities to mid-market and enterprise buyers
- Self-driven and well-organised independent worker
Preferred Qualifications
- Network in Indian FinTech, SaaS, or BFSI buyer communities
- Experience selling AI or ML services
- Inside-sales or SDR background
- Track record of attending industry events and generating leads from them
- Familiarity with services-led sales motions (vs product sales)
AI Tools Proficiency
Production engineering at Unico Connect assumes AI tools form part of the daily workflow rather than an experimental augmentation. For this role specifically:
- Claude or ChatGPT for personalised outreach drafting
- AI sales tools (Apollo AI, Lemlist AI, Clay) for prospecting and enrichment
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator AI for prospect identification
- Perplexity for prospect and account research
