Problem Statement
Adult learners often face a broken digital learning experience — language barriers, outdated tools, and limited digital skills make learning overwhelming. Brain is a multilingual, inclusive platform built for a California-based charter school to help adult learners earn diplomas, learn English, and access essential services all in one place.
Strengthening communication channels between teachers and students can foster collaboration, by promoting engagement in student learning.

Our Research
Highlands is an adult high school in California serving refugees and underprivileged learners with low English and digital skills. A unified digital platform is needed to improve attendance, streamline learning, and support services. The goal is to create an easy-to-use app that integrates education, communication, and progress tracking to boost retention and outcomes.
Common painpoints
01. Digital & Language Barriers
Many learners had never used a mouse. Some couldn’t read in any language.
02. Clunky Attendance Logging
Manual systems were slow, inaccurate, and demotivating.
03. Disconnected Campus Experience
Updates, events, and services lived in silos.
04. Safety & Urgent Communication
Emergency protocols were slow and outdated.
